Wine in the Winter Time

"What Does A Winemaker Do in the Winter Months?"

The answer to the above question is:  I sample our dry red wines.  (Poor Me)  They have been aging in the barrels for a year or more and it is taste test time.  The cellar crew, Kaleb and Randy also sample each barrel.  After sampling, the three of us discuss and experiment with proposed blends and other wine techniques.

We are excited about our new Norton blend.  Last year we were only able to produce 66 cases, which sold out quickly.  This year we are happy to say that we have doubled the quantity.  Stay Tuned for our New Release Norton sometime this Spring.

Sincerely,

Karen Hand, Winemaker

P.S. - In case you are curious, we do get a bit tipsy from sampling the wines in the barrels.
