Released in 1990 by students at Cornell University, Chardonel yields a very dry, full-bodied white wine. Chardonel is a cross between the noted Chardonnay and Seyval grapes.
It is a cold hardy grape, much like Seyval, but requires a good location and a long growing season to ripen the fruit properly.
Blue Sky Vineyard offers a full-bodied Chardonel with a rich structure and a long finish. Hints of oak and vanilla meld together for a warm, earthy finish.
A medal winner in International Competition, this wine is sure to please the palate.
