BSV Wine Receives National Recognition

Blue Sky Vineyard's Chambourcin Reserve received high marks in the 2008 International Eastern Wine Competition. The Makanda vineyard's Estate Chambourcin Reserve received a gold medal in the competition where 2,209 wines were entered.

Karen Hand, Blue Sky Vineyard's winemaker said, "We're very proud of this wine because it reflects the time and effort that we put into the vineyard to grow quality grapes which are so important. This wine really reflects the unique terroir of the Shawnee Hills A.V.A. and Blue Sky Vineyard."

Sandra Silfven, a writer for the Detroit News declared Chambourcin Reserve one of her top 10 `Ah Ha!" finds in a June 5th article.
